Another interesting fact…There were no goals scored during the regulation part of the final championship game. The US won the match 5-4 on penalty kicks with Defender Brandi Chastain blasting the kick past China’s goalkeeper. Chastain whipped her shirt off and swung it around her head in monumental fashion.
